May Peace Prevail on Earth
There are over 250,000 peace poles planted in communities, schools, parks, sacred spaces all around the world for the collective intention of wishing for peace in the world.
A Peace Pole has been planted in Kawartha Lakes @Nusqool on July 2023.
If you would like to participate, please send prayers for peace or drawings of peace. We will create a time capsule with wishes from our friends and communities who wish to participate in the inauguration of this peace pole. Please drop us a note if you wish to participate below.
So why put a Peace Pole in an old school house?
One of our intentions for this school house is to create a space where all beings that visit could slow down, connect with nature, and experience peace & joy. When Thu has stumbled upon Peace Poles in other spiritual spaces and then learned of Masami Saionji’s story of healing, she knew this would be the intent at Nusqool as well. It would be incredible if this peace pole had a similar effect on others to drop into the present moment for a second.
It has since become a place where people stop by and pray for peace and listed on WorldPeace.org

In the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, We ask that you bless this land, this house and the people who live here, work here, play here and pass through here. We ask that the planting of this peace pole and its presence here becomes a perpetual prayer for peace; a continuous conversation of love between the earth and the sky, between the night and the day, between men and women and between us and God. We are asked to love each other as you have loved us and we pray for the generosity to see each others' virtues and efforts, no matter how small; for the humility to live our vulnerability as well as our power and for the grace to desire the good of the other, whoever that other may be. Please bless this place with peace, let your peace inhabit our home and our hearts and be our protection and connection to the good in this world. - JM
I wish there is peace on earth. I wish we all see and feel that we are connected, we help each other and lift each other up. May we be filled with so much love and grace, that every action we perform is gentle and is a reminder of peace. - PK
My wish is for recalibration. Where those who have forgotten to listen, begin to. And those who speak quieter sounds with good hearts get a chance to express. Where the natural world is honoured and our relationship to it is like deep breathing. In this recalibration, water is vibrant, air is fresh, earth is nourished, and fire is tended. As we recalibrate, we have what we need. Our wisdom is rooted in connection, purpose and collective creativity. - LT
